If you're anything like me you've continuously suffered from severe menstrual cramps and have been searching everywhere for a solution. But all you come across are tips and remedies to quell the pain once the vicious cycle starts. Then you go about your business as usual for a few weeks then start dreading it all over again.

Well, I got sick and tired of the same old routine with no results. Then it finally hit me like a ton of bricks. Why am I waiting for this to roll around again? How can I prevent it instead of waiting for it? First I wanted to know what originally causes the pain. As a woman we all just accept it as a fact of life. But did we ever really understand why? So I found out why.

The root cause of painful menstrual cramps is lack of oxygen during ovulation. The uterine is a muscular organ. Every month the ovary releases an egg into the fallopian tube where it travels into the uterus. The inner uterine wall thickens and becomes filled with a nutrient rich blood supply. If the egg is not fertilized the uterus produces a hormone called prostaglandin. This hormone causes the uterus to contract and expand expelling the egg and nutrients. Running through the muscular walls of the uterus are tiny blood vessels which supply oxygen and nutrients to the muscle tissue. When these muscles contract during menstruation the muscles become constricted. This reduces the amount of oxygen that gets into the muscle tissue. This starves the the muscles of the necessary oxygen. The lack of oxygen that the muscles normally get is what causes the pain.

Pretty simple right? First thing that comes to mind is exercise. What about nutrition? Is there anything 嚴重經痛 that I eat that contributes to the pain. What if I found a program that addresses nutrition and exercise when it comes to menstrual cramp relief? What if following a simple plan could eliminate the pain overall instead of us just accepting and living with it.
