The makeup blogger has requested influencers to mention when the filters are being used and photos have been manipulated.

With more than 70 million followers on social media, she emphasized maintaining transparency and believes that people are selling ‘fake stories’ that lower the confidence of women with fair skin tones.Nowadays, a number of women highly prefer to post their photos after they have digitally altered their scars.

While answering a question, she said, “I look at my daughter – she’s nine – she thinks it’s normal to use filters and I don’t like that.”Moreover, Kattan has taken an initiative for not using any filters on her social media pages and keeping the look as natural as possible.

The 37-year-old make-up blogger added that most of the times, filtered photos make it difficult to recognize the person.

Kattan is seriously challenging the unhealthy standards set in the society where women of every age believe that using filters will complete their look.

Although Huda Kattan has received criticism for getting various treatments to attain such a look, now the makeup blogger stood for all men and women to self-accept themselves in their skin.

Huda has approached many other brands to support her in the mission to eliminate the use of filters and editing applications that sets an unrealistic standard of beauty.
