YSC-ROBOT can not only provide linear motion components but also provide integrated linear motion products. YSC-ROBOT linear actuator have good reputation in the market all over the world. YSC-ROBOT linear actuator mainly include belt driven linear motion systems, ball screw driven linear motion systems, rack and pinion driven linear module, multi axes linear sliding table etc..
In order to select the proper linear mechanical actuator, some important considerations, such as the desired load capacity, or thrust force, and necessary stroke distance, must be taken into account. While these are primary considerations, others such as maintenance burden certainly play an important role as well.
These widely used types of mechanized linear actuators are differentiated by their drive mechanisms- belt-driven, ball screw driven, rack and pinion actuators. They are employed in similar types of applications, but differ significantly in function. Each type possesses unique strengths and important limitations which must be carefully considered in the selection of an actuator.
Belt-Driven Actuators
The belt-driven actuator operates under the same principles as the conveyor belt system. Often, the belt drive is enclosed within a protective case, and attached to a carriage. The belt drive translates rotary motion to linear motion via a timing belt connected between two circular pulleys. The timing belt is usually made from a fiber-reinforced elastomer, but many other belt materials are available for more demanding applications. The belt contains teeth that interface with the rotor pulleys to efficiently transfer torque and prevent slipping. The belt drive is enclosed within an aluminum body while the carriage rides on top, and the drive shaft interface is typically situated perpendicular to the side of the actuator.
YSC-ROBOT belt driven linear motion system and actuators are available in three different configurations, allowing engineers to select standard models for off-the-shelf availability, plug-and-play models for ready out-of-the-box automation, and customer built models that allow for a wide range of configurations.
Plug-and-Play Belt Driven Linear Motion System
Plug-and-play actuators and belt drives provide users with ready out-of-the box automation functionality. Each unit comes complete with actuator/belt drive, a UL approved electric motor, and PLC device. These models are a good fit for educational and university robotics, or laboratory and research applications.
Custom Belt Driven Linear Motion System
Custom actuators and belt drives deliver the same features as standard models, however, these models allow users to specify custom specifications including but not limited to cart design, belt options, extrusion size, length and finish, and any special requirements for gearboxes and motors. The modular design of YSC-ROBOT belt driven actuators allows for fast customization to meet most specifications without ordering a totally custom item, ultimately reducing cost.
